These rules apply alongside our Terms of Use. Breaking them can affect your game account as well as your access to our community spaces.
These rules cover our Discord server, forums, comment sections, and any other official ACE community space. Our in-game rules live in the Game License and Service Agreement; these apply alongside them.
We want a space where people can talk about our games, share what they make, and tell us we got something wrong — without anyone getting hurt.
The Short Version
Be decent to people. Assume good faith. Don’t make this space worse for someone else.
What We Don’t Allow
• Harassment. Targeting, following, threatening, or piling on to another member. Sexual harassment of any kind. “It was a joke” isn’t a defence.
• Hate. Slurs or attacks based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age. Misspellings and symbols don’t get around this.
• Doxxing. Posting anyone’s personal information — including our team’s — without their consent.
• Impersonation. Pretending to be ACE staff, a moderator, a developer, or another member.
• Explicit content. No pornography, gore, or shock content. Mature discussion of our games’ themes is fine; graphic material is not.
• Spam and self-promotion. Unsolicited advertising, referral links, crypto or NFT promotion, mass DMs, or repeat-posting the same thing.
• Scams and trading. Selling accounts, keys, items, or services. Anything designed to defraud another member.
• Piracy. Links to cracked builds, key resellers, or leaked files.
• Leaks and spoilers. Don’t post content from an NDA build, press build, or embargoed Demo. In public channels, tag story spoilers or use the spoiler channels.
• Cheat promotion. Advertising or distributing cheats, exploits, or bots.
• Disruption. Derailing channels, brigading, ban evasion with alt accounts, or arguing with moderators in public instead of in DMs.
And, as always: anything else we consider contrary to the spirit of the community, whether or not it’s listed above.
How We Enforce
We moderate at our own discretion and we aim to be proportionate. Depending on what happened and whether it’s a pattern, expect one of:
• A quiet word — most issues end here.
• A formal warning, logged against your account.
• A timeout — typically 24 hours to 7 days.
• A channel restriction, where the problem is limited to one space.
• A permanent ban — for serious harm, or repeated warnings ignored.
Some things skip straight to a permanent ban: doxxing, credible threats, sexual content involving minors, and coordinated harassment. Where the law requires it, we’ll report to the authorities.
A community ban may also affect your game account where the same conduct breaches the Game License and Service Agreement.
Appeals
If you think a moderator got it wrong, email ace@gamewithace.com with your username, what happened, and why you’re contesting it. Someone who wasn’t involved in the original decision will review it, and we’ll reply. Don’t argue it in public channels or create an alt account — both make things worse.
Reporting Someone
Use the report function, ping an online moderator, or email ace@gamewithace.com. If it’s about a moderator or a member of our team, email us directly. We’ll keep your report confidential.
Talking To Our Team
Our developers hang out here, which we like. To keep it that way:
• Feedback and criticism are welcome. Abuse of individual team members isn’t.
• Don’t DM staff with bug reports or support issues — use the feedback channels so nothing gets lost.
• Nobody on our team will ever ask for your password or security codes.
• “Any news on the release date?” is fine once. Asking it hourly is not.
Who Moderates
Two groups enforce these rules:
• ACE staff, marked with a distinct role. Anyone with that role speaks for the studio.
• Community moderators, who are volunteers from the community. They act on our behalf under these rules but are not employees, and they don’t speak for ACE on product matters.
If a moderator’s own conduct is the problem, email us directly rather than reporting it in-server.
Age Requirement
You must be at least 13 to join our community spaces, or older where your country requires it — the same floor Discord applies. Some of our games and channels carry higher age ratings; check before joining.
If we learn a member is below the minimum age, we’ll remove the account. Guardians can email us to have a minor’s account and messages removed.
Records We Keep
• Warnings and moderation notes: kept for 24 months, then deleted.
• Timeouts and channel restrictions: kept for 24 months.
• Permanent bans: kept indefinitely, so we can enforce them against ban evasion.
• Reports you send us: kept for 24 months, and only visible to staff and the moderators handling them.
You can ask what we hold on your account by emailing ace@gamewithace.com. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
Changes To These Rules
We may update these rules; changes take effect when published here, and we’ll announce significant ones in the community.
Languages
The Chinese version of these rules is the original, governing text. Where this English version conflicts with it, the Chinese version governs.
